Military Police Releases Abducted Kurd in Afrin After Payment of $5,000

On July 23rd, the Military Police militia in occupied Afrin released the citizen “Luqman Qadour” after he paid a sum of $5,000 as ransom.

Earlier, an armed group had kidnapped the 50-year-old citizen, “Luqman Nouri Qadour,” originally from Musanka village in the central district of Afrin, on July 6th. The reasons behind his abduction remained unknown.

Later, it was revealed that the abductors were militants from the “Ahrar al-Sharqieh” militia, who handed him over to the Military Police militia. He was charged with having dealings with the former Autonomous Administration in Afrin.
