On July 23rd, the Kurdish Young woman “Hevin Hamo Shero” (20 years old) was injured in the foot by shrapnel as a result of the Turkish forces’ shelling of the village of Jilbir, with four mortar shells, near the village of Abbin, in the Sherawa sub-district of Afrin.
Hevin, originally from the village of Qibarê – Afrin center, has been residing in the village of Abbin since her forced displacement from Afrin in March 2018.
The Turkish forces continues to target the Sherawa and Shera sub-districts, as well as the villages in the Shahba region, situated near the contact lines with the areas under their control in occupied Afrin, with artillery and rocket bombardments, causing continuous material damage and injuries to civilians who were forcibly displaced from their homes in Afrin following its occupation in March 2018.
