Joint Intelligence Operation Results in Arrest of Two persons for Previous Mandatory Service in Afrin’s Former Autonomous Administration.

In a joint operation conducted by Turkish intelligence and the Military Police militia, two individuals from the village of Kafr Zit in the Jindires sub-district were arrested on June 18.

They were charged with serving in the mandatory military service during the previous self-administration in Afrin.

According to our correspondent, the joint patrol launched a raid on Kafr Zit, apprehending both Hozan Kalu, 26 years old, and Asaad Kalu, 25 years old.

It should be noted that on May 25, 2023, the Military Police militia affiliated with the Turkish forces arrested Kurdish citizen Nawras Asaad Kalu, 30 years old, from his home in the village of Kafr Zit, Jindires sub-district. He was charged with his involvement in the self-defense service during the former Autonomous Administration in the Kurdish region. The armed patrol conducted a house raid and searched his residence prior to the arrest.
