Three civilians, including a child and two men, have tragically lost their lives, while over seven others sustained serious injuries, in an artillery shelling conducted by the Syrian regime army today, June 21st, on the villages of Kafrnouran and Katiyan in western Aleppo countryside. The relentless shelling has caused panic among the residents, leading them to seek shelter due to the intense bombardment.
This heavy shelling comes a day after positions held by the Syrian regime army and the Lebanese Hezbollah were targeted by rocket and artillery fire from the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization. The attacks specifically targeted the positions of Regiment 46, Kafr Aleppo, and Marnaz, where Lebanese Hezbollah is stationed in western Aleppo countryside.
Furthermore, the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization also targeted Syrian regime army positions along the Orum al-Kubra axis in western Aleppo countryside, resulting in injuries to two soldiers from the Syrian regime army.
