According to our reporter in Afrin, the Civil Police militia has released the suspects involved in the killing of citizen “Awfa Sheikh Za’im” by members of the “Muhammad al-Fateh” militia residing in the residential building near the deceased woman’s house, located near Maratah Roundabout in the occupied city of Afrin.
Our reporter further reports that the Civil Police militia has begun summoning the husband of the deceased, as well as her family and her husband’s family, for individual questioning, while the accused were allowed to go free and return to their homes as if nothing had happened.
Awfa Sheikh Za’im, a 31-year-old resident of the Sheikh/Al-Shuyukh village in the Rajo sub-district, lost her life on the morning of June 12th at the Afrin hospital. She succumbed to her injuries sustained from knife stabs inflicted by armed thieves who also robbed her jewelry and set fire to her house near Maratah Roundabout.
According to our sources, one of the members of the “Muhammad al-Fateh” militia resides in the same building and is known for his numerous attacks against the residents of the neighborhood and the city. They accuse him of committing the heinous crime.
