Two women and a child were injured today, on June 22nd, as the Syrian regime unleashed a barrage of artillery shelling on the city of Saraqib in eastern Idlib.
According to our correspondent, Jamila Abbas and Fatima Khalil, along with a child, sustained varying degrees of injuries as a result of the Syrian regime’s heavy artillery targeting of Saraqib. This attack has taken place amidst heightened fears of renewed shelling, prompting locals to seek refuge and safety.
The intense artillery bombardment has also affected the areas of Ma’arat Misrin in Jabal al-Zawiya, as well as the vicinity of the town of Neirab in Idlib countryside. Additionally, the shelling targeted Qara Ziyarah, Ayn al-Hammam, Al-Sarmaniyah, Tel Wasit, Qastoun, and Al-Mashik in the Ghab plain of Hama countryside.
This relentless shelling comes in the aftermath of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s targeting of Syrian regime positions with armed drones along the Shuhadah axis in Hama countryside.
Sadly, yesterday, six-year-old Sama Muayyad Zaarour lost her life due to injuries sustained in an attack by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham on the village of Ayn al-Hammam in the Ghab plain of northwestern Hama countryside. The repercussions of these violent acts continue to claim innocent lives and exacerbate the already dire situation in the region.
