Armed militants belonging to Turkish-backed SNA groups have reportedly cut down 55 olive trees owned by Mohammed Ibrahim, a resident of the village of Bênê\Abbin in the Sherawa sub-district of the occupied Afrin region.
The militants ruthlessly felled 24 olive trees, completely severing them from their trunks, while partially cutting down 31 trees on Mohammed’s land, located behind the Birin factories in the vicinity of Afrin city.
On April 28, 2023, afrinpost documented the cutting of 35 pomegranate trees and ten olive trees by members of the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya and Sultan Murad” militias in the villages of Istêr and Al-Ashrafiya in the occupied Afrin region.
