Syrian Regime Intensifies Shelling in Idlib and Aleppo, Casualties Reported

Today, May 15, the Syrian regime army has escalated its artillery bombardment on multiple areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, targeting positions of the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization in the villages and towns of Deir Sunbul, Kafr Aweed, Deir Sunbul, Al-Bara, Binnin, and Hantoutin in Jabal Zawiya, southern Idlib countryside. The bombardment resulted in the killing of a young man named “Laman Mohammed Al-Salim” and the injury of a member of the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization.

In addition, the intense artillery shelling has reached the surroundings of the towns of Kafr Amma, Kafr Ta’al, Al-Qusur, and Al-Wasita in western Aleppo countryside. This comes amidst heavy surveillance by Russian reconnaissance aircraft in the region’s airspace.

Yesterday evening, a soldier from the Syrian regime army named “Ali Talal Al-Ali” was killed due to injuries sustained from heavy artillery targeting by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization. The attack targeted Syrian regime army positions on the western Aleppo countryside axis. Ali hails from the village of Al-Hasna in the countryside of Tartus.
