afrinpost– Special

The checkpoint belonging to the Turkish forces on the Jindires road arrested a number of Kurds on Saturday while they were heading from the city of Afrin to the protest tent erected in front of the house of the Newroz martyrs in Jindires.

Among the detainees were identified as Shauqi Jamil, 41 years old, and another young man named Mervan, while the identities of the rest of the detainees are still unknown, according to our reporter in the city. The number of those detained at the mentioned checkpoint has reached about 10 citizens.

The families of the martyrs continue their hunger strike, refusing to accept condolences until the perpetrators of the massacre by the militants of the Jaish al-Sharqiya are brought to justice. Meanwhile, solidarity delegations are still pouring into the tents set up in front of the house of the four martyrs in the occupied city of Jindires.

In a related context, the Turkish-affiliated relief organizations are punishing Kurdish citizens and depriving them of aid because of their participation in the protests.

Our reporter explained that the Gül and Shafaq organizations have deleted the names of Kurdish citizens from the relief lists, adding that the people of Anqela and Sinarê villages in the Sheikh al-Hadid\ Şiyê sub-district have been deprived for the third consecutive day of free bread and aid distributed by relief organizations because of their solidarity with the families of the Newroz martyrs.
