Al-Hamza Division Uproots 100 Olive Trees in Afrin Countryside

Olive trees belonging to native Kurdish citizens of Afrin were cut down by the militants of the Turkish-affiliated “al-Hamzat/al-Hamza Division” militia in the villages of Shara and Jindires in the occupied countryside of Afrin.

According to the details, 97 olive trees were cut down by the militants, out of which 65 trees were near the Afrin River, adjacent to the village of Pitete. The said trees belonged to the forcibly displaced citizen “Hassani Aref Ali” from the village of Qujuman in the Jindires sub-district.

In another incident, militants affiliated to the aforementioned militia cut down 32 olive trees near the village of Qibareh near Afrin center, which belonged to the widow “Jamila Aref” from the village of Qurtqlaq in the Shara/Sharan district. The militants partially cut down 25 trees and removed seven trees from their roots.

Earlier, afrinpost had reported that the Turkish-affiliated militias had cut down 90 olive trees and four walnut trees in the villages of Ba’deena and Sa’rijnack in the occupied Afrin region.
