Turkish forces arrest Kurdish person on his way back to Afrin

Reliable sources reported today, January 1, that Turkish-backed militia, arrested about a month ago a Kurdish person in the occupied city of Azaz, northern Syria.

“Redy Haitham Jaafar” (32 years old) was displaced from Afrin during the war in March 2018, and during his return from the city of Aleppo to Afrin last month, Turkish-backed militia arrested him in the city of Azaz on charges of performing compulsory military service during the previous Autonomous Administration period in Afrin, and drove him to Al-Ra’i prison, where he is still under arbitrary detention, the sources added.
