Pro-Turkey “Al-Hamzat” militants cut down more than 435 olive trees in Afrin

Members of the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamzah / Al-Hamzat Division” militia invaded the fields of the indigenous Kurdish people of Afrin and cut down more than 435 olive trees and four walnut trees in the occupied countryside of Afrin.

In the details, the militants of “Al-Hamzat” cut down about 200 olive trees and four large walnut trees from fields located between the villages of Bablit and Maratah, according to our sources in the village.

Among the fields owners were “Ahmed Muhammad Othman, Muhammad Nami Zainal, Ahmad Nami Zainal, Mahmoud Esso, and the Jaqali family.”

Gunmen affiliated with the “Al-Hamzat” militia also cut down about 60 olive trees belonging to the forcibly displaced citizen “Muhammad Barakat” in the village of Kokan in Mobata district, and 175 olive trees belonging to the “Mahamat Seydo” family.

On January 10, “afrinpost” monitored the cutting down of more than 197 olive trees and ten almond trees in the districts of Bulbul and Mobata in the occupied countryside of Afrin.
