After paying ransom, Turkish authorities in Afrin release a Kurdish detainee

our reporter in Afrin stated that the Turkish authorities released the Kurdish woman, Farida Abdo Rasho, after her family paid a ransom, which was demanded after she was arbitrarily arrested from her home in the occupied countryside of Afrin.

On Monday morning, January 9, the Turkish intelligence arrested the 55-year-old, Farida Abdo Rasho, from her home in the village of Shekhotka – Mobata district, on charges of working in the local council of the village during the former Autonomous Administration era.

It is noteworthy that “afrinpost” documented 584 cases of arrest and kidnapping during the year 2022. where 57 cases of arrest and kidnapping were monitored during the month of December 2022, of which 52 persons of Afrin indigenous people, including a Kurdish woman.
