Afrinpost reveals: “Ajnadayn Palestine” settlement is built on seized lands in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

Yesterday, Wednesday, January 4, the Turkish authorities inaugurated the “Ajnadayn Palestine” settlement village in Jenderes district in the countryside of Afrin, after completing the construction and equipping of about 40 houses out of two hundred.

According to our sources, the Muslim Brotherhood’s “Idlib Al-Watan Team” organization distributed about 40 houses, as a first batch, to the families of armed men from the Turkish-backed “Ahrar al-Sham” militia, which controls several villages in the district.

The sources pointed out that the funder of the settlement project is the Palestinian “Ajnad Al- Islam” organization, while the Brotherhood’s “Idlib Al-Watan Team” organization has undertaken the implementation, noting that the project “Ajnadayn settlement village” includes 200 houses in addition to service facilities as a school, a mosque, and a Sharia institute for memorizing the Qur’an.

On July 11, 2022, a report published on our website revealed that a settlement project is being built on fertile agricultural land, an area of 4 hectares, located in the separating area between the villages of Hamilka and Rifaatiya, east of the town of Jinderes, and is owned by the children of the eldery Majid and Murad Mannan, from Sheetka village (two hectares for each of the two elderly brothers), and the land was seized after the occupation of Afrin in 2018 under the pretext that its owners belonged to the Democratic Union Party.
