According to our sources in the village, the Turkish intelligence raided the house of the mayor of the village of Meydan Akbas (appointed by Turkish authorities) on charges of holding a funeral gathering on the occasion of the martyrdom of his daughter (a fighter in the ranks of the Kurdish Women’s Protection Units/YPJ) from his first wife residing in the areas of al-Shahba, and arrested him and the mourners.

The sources indicated that the detainees are all civilans, namely: “Ali Arab Hassan” (57 years old), who is the mukhtar of the village, his minor son “Mustafa” and the mourners, who are “Fawzi Muhammad Kalo” (50 years old), his wife “Amina” and two of their minor daughters, in addition to “Sheikhmous Hussein Dodik” (22 years old), “Omar Hamid Khaled” and “Salah Arabo”.
