afrinpost – Exclusive

The “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” (Organization for the Liberation of the Levant) organization, with the support of the “Al-Amashat and Faylaq al-Sham” militias, managed today, Wednesday to control the center of Jindires district in Afrin countryside, after fierce clashes took place earlier today between the HTS militants and Jaysh al-Sharqiya militia.

Our reporter indicated that “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia had opened the Tal Salur road in front of military reinforcements belonging to the “Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham” organization coming from Idlib governorate, which allowed the organization to besiege the city from three sides, and then advance from the side of the village of Aghjleh and Tal Salur into the city Jindires.

The violent clashes resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides, one of whom is from the Al-Akidat tribe from the city of Deir ez-Zor. HTS’s dead were transported through the Deir Ballut crossing to Idlib governorate, while members of the “Al-Sharqiya Army” militia withdrew to the city of Afrin.

It is worth noting that the “Al-Amashat” militia managed to seize control of the villages of Aranda and Kokan in Mobata district from the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya and Jaish al-Islam” militias, after violent clashes between the two sides and the acquisition of ammunition and military vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns.
