Yesterday, Sunday, September 25, the so-called “Olive Branch Chamber of Agriculture” issued two resolutions, 54 and 55, which constitute imposing royalties on olive presses and oil traders in Afrin rigion.
Resolution 54 is imposing royalties on olive presses, amounting to 250 dollars to renew the annual operation license, and 800 dollars to operate presses that had not previously in service or were newly established.
As for resolution 55, it obligated all oil traders in Afrin to get an oil trader license, and obligated them to deliver the oil to TARIM KREDİ – Agricultural Credit, and a royalty of $350 was imposed to obtain a trader license.”
These are on the many royalties imposed on the olive season, as the militias impose them on the people in the villages they control according to the number of olive trees in the fields regardless of the production, as they impose on the presses, and the local councils, on their part, impose special royalties, so that the olive season in Afrin is a season of mposing royalties, which are not limited to the militias controlling the villages, but also participate in all the institutions formed by Turkey in the region.
