afrinpost – Special
The villages of Abbin and Aqiba, in Sherawa district, in the occupied region of Afrin, were shelled by the Turkish forces stationed in the village of Jelbur, where no information on the damage was reported until now.
The artillery and missile shelling came the day after the outbreak of sporadic clashes with heavy and medium guns between the Syrian regime army and the Turkish-backed “National Army” militia on Abbin axis, amid mutual mortar shelling, and no casualties were reported so far.
It is noteworthy that the past two days witnessed a cautious calm, following the killing of a Turkish soldier and the wounding of 8 others, on August 7, targeted by the Syrian regime army with more than 25 rocket and artillery shells on the Turkish base in the village of Kaljibrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
