Turkish-backed militias arrest five people of Basuta village, Afrin

“Members of the Turkish-supported “Political Security” arrested on Wednesday, August 24, five people from Basuta town accusing them of collaborating with the former Autonomous Administration in Afrin”, Human Rights Organization – Afrin reported.

The arrested people are: “Jiwan Omar Omar, Shervan Muhammad Ali, Abdul Rahman Rostom, Fathi Qasu nicknamed Franco, and Muhammad Ibo.”

Also, the military police militia arrested at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 8, the minor “Ramzi Ramzi Kelo” (16 years), from Aranda village, who resides with his relatives in Surkeh village in Rajo district.

The minor was accused of human smuggling into Turkish territory several years ago (during 2016 and 2017) and was taken to the military headquarters in Rajo center. Later, the militia demanded his family to pay a ransom in exchange for his release and dropping the charges against him.
