Turkish authorities release person for $4,000 in Afrin

On Sunday, August 21, the Turkish authorities released the so-called “Muhammad Omar Abu Ahmed”, who is from Tel Jibin, from the prison of the Military Police militia, after he paid a fine of $4,000.

The Turkish intelligence had arrested “Abu Ahmed” on charges of communicating with the former Autonomous Administration in Afrin, despite his cooperation with them.

The so-called “Abu Ahmed” has lived in the city of Afrin since 2013 and provided information to the Turkish intelligence about the Autonomous Administration and the Kurdish people of Afrin, contributing to the arrest of many Kurdish citizens, in addition to seizing some homes and selling others since about a month.
