Pro-Turkey gunmen fighting over firewood profits in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

According to our reporter in Afrin, gunmen belonging to the Turkish-baked “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia were fighting and shots were fired, yesterday evening, Friday, near the headquarters of a group called “Osu” affiliated with the “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia, in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin.

Our reporter added that the gunmen’s fighting occured because one of the members of the “Oso” members seized the profits of selling firewood, of about 140 olive trees, cut from Kurdish people lands in Bulbul district in Afrin, and not sharing the profits with the other members, which led to a fight and threats to kill.

On August 20, armed men cut down about 155 olive trees in the village of Qibar and the town of Bulbul, on the accusation that the owners belong to the party in the occupied canton of Afrin.
