A Kurdish woman named “Rihana Omar Muhammad” (70 years old), lost her life on Thursday, August 25, in a random shooting while working in the yard of her home in the village of Chanchaliya in Rajo district in the countryside of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria.
According to information received form our sources there, “Rihana” while cleaning the yard of her home after returning from a trip to collect firewood, thought that her shoulder was hit by a stone, her neighbors rushed to help her to the hospitals of Afrin city, to find out later that a bullet had hit her back and settled in her stomach, causing internal bleeding that led to her death in the hospital to be buried, yesterday, Friday, in the village cemetery.
As for the source of the bullet that killed the elderly “Rihana”, a source from the village confirmed to “afrinpost” that the timing of the incident coincided with Pro-Ankara militias firing heavy bullets in the village of Hajj Jamala, opposite the village of Chanahaliya, celebrating an IDP’s wedding.
