Our reporter in Afrin stated that gunmen from the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia launched, since Monday morning, August 22, 2022, an indiscriminate kidnapping campaign in the village of Kurzeleh, on the basis of opening previous files of persons who had previously been arrested on different dates, especially those aged between 17-50 years.
“The kidnapped persons are subjected to severe beating and abuse and are taken to the militia prison located in the village of Kafar Janneh in Shara district. Among the persons who were kidnapped were: “Mahmoud Muhammad Ibo and his younger brother, Muhammad Aref Othman, Hassan Saleh Othman, and Mustafa Nuri Hajj Hassan.” the reporter added.
It is noteworthy that most of the arrested persons were previously kidnapped, except for “Mahmoud Ibo”, who was kidnapped for the first time, as he had returned about two months ago from Turkey, where he had been residing for years with the aim of working.
