afrinpost – Special
The illegal sale of the Kurdish citizens’ seized properties continues in light of the chaos that the city of Afrin has been witnessing since it was occupied in March 2018, amid the Turkish authorities’ ignoring of the violations and abuses committed against the people.
Our reporter in Afrin city said that a member of the “Abu Wakeel al-Homsi” group affiliated with the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia and from Hama sold four apartments in Abdo Aranda building located on Al-Bilat Street in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, for $800 for each apartment.
In the same context, the “Shamo” group, which is also affiliated with “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia, sold the property of the Al-Khamisi family, from the people of Afrin from the Arab component, who had seized it earlier.
According to our reporter, the aforementioned group members sold the house of the citizen “Saleh al-Khamisi,” a fodder shed, a mourning tent, 159 sheep and agricultural land located near the water canal, in addition to the house of the citizen “Haloul al-Khamisi.”
On July 15, “afrinpost” monitored the sale of four houses of the original Kurdish residents of Afrin by the Turkish-backed “Jaish al-Sharqiya, Ahrar al-Sharqiya and al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militias during the period from the beginning of the current month of July until the days of Eid al-Adha, July 9, in the occupied city of Afrin.
