6 civilians injured by Turkish shelling on Tal Rifaat, northern Aleppo

According to our reporter in the northern countryside of Aleppo, 6 civilians, mostly children and women, were injured as a result of the intense artillery shelling by the Turkish forces on villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo and Sherawa district in the occupied countryside of Afrin last evening, Tuesday.

Our reporter indicated that the Turkish forces, stationed in the Scientific Research Base, Tal Maled, Maryameen and Mount Bersaya, shelled with more than 200 rocket and artillery shells the villages and towns of Tal Rifaat, Sheikh Issa, Harbel, Umm Al Hosh, Tal Madiq, Al Hasiya, Kafr Naya and Kafr Nasih in the northern countryside of Aleppo, wounding 6 women and children were working in agricultural lands on the outskirts of the city of Tel Rifaat, and the injured were (Fahima Rasho, Lamia Hasna and Rokhash Rasho, Kawthar Mustafa, Atriya Muhammad Shobak and Sawsan Seifi Mustafa) with varying injuries, and they were transferred to Avrin Hospital for treatment.

The reporter explained that the intense artillery shelling expanded at night, to include the villages of Deir Jamal and the surrounding villages of Al-Ziyara, Ibbin, Aqiba, Mara’anaz and Menagh Military Airport, which was targeted with more than 100 rocket and artillery shells, without information on the extent of the damage until now.

The reporter added that the Syrian regime’s army responded to the sources of fire by shelling the gatherings of the Turkish forces in the village of Anab in Sharan district with more than 20 rocket and artillery shells, in addition to targeting the Turkish base in the village of Kaljibrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo, coinciding with the outbreak of violent clashes with various types of weapons between the Syrian regime’s army and the Turkish-backed National Army militia on the Marea-Harbel axis in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
