Three IDPs assault Kurdish citizen in Afrin

afrinpost – Special

According to our reporter in Afrin, IDPs beat and insulted on Thursday, June 9, a Kurdish citizen at the southern entrance to the city of Afrin.

“The citizen “Ahmed Aswad” (42 years old), was driving his car from the quarry of Teranda village and entering the city of Afrin when the IDP raised his hand to pick him up, however, Aswad did not notice him and this has made the IDP angry and started cursing him. Together with two other IDPs, he stopped and beat him in full view of the pro-Turkey “military police”” the reporter said

When the citizen “Ahmed” went to file a complaint against them with the Afrin Police Militia, they did not care about the matter and ignored his complaint.

On May 27, 2022, members of the “21st Division” militia, known as the Turkish-backed (Second Army), attacked the family of the Kurdish citizen “Subhi Kakman” (men and women) near his house to a checkpoint belonging to it in the middle of the town of Jindires in the countryside of Afrin.

Incidents of insults and attacks on the Kurdish people of Afrin and their property are repeated on a daily basis and in various forms, by pro-Turkey militia gunmen and IDPs.
