Our sources in Afrin reported that the so-called “Abu Faisal”, the leader of the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” militia, uprooted the trees in the forest in the vicinity of Tobal village – Bulbul district, and planted it with olives for himself.
The sources added that the so-called “Abu Faisal” has planted 500 olive trees for his own benefit until now, and is still expanding the areas by uprooting oaks and other forests surrounding the village of Tubal.
Also, a leader in the Suqur al-Shamal Brigade, called “Abu Ahmed al-Hayani,” revealed in February 2022 that he had seized 18,000 trees from the properties of the forcibly displaced Afrin residents in Bulbul district in Afrin countryside.
