“Faylaq Al-Sham” militia kidnapped 5 Yazidi Kurdish citizens in Afrin

On the 23rd and 24th of this month, the Turkish-backed “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia launched a campaign of raids and arrests in the village of Ghazawiya in Sherawa sub-district in the occupied countryside of Afrin, northern Syria.

According to our sources, the campaign resulted in the kidnapping of five Yezidi Kurdish citizens, who are: (the 22-year-old Omar Ziad Omar Jamlo, and his 20-year-old brother Barakat, Farmand Dashti Omar Jamlo 24 years old, Jamil Mustafa Ali 28 years old, and Ahmed Hassan Youssef 30 years old). The kidnapped citizens were taken to the prison of the neighboring village of Iska, which is located in the farm of “Farouk Izzat Mustafa”, under the pretext of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.

The sources indicated that 3 of the detainees (Omar, Barakat, and Faramand) are the grandchildren of the late folk singer (Omer Jamlo).
