The formation of the so-called “Restitution of Rights and Grievances” committee was not intended to actually carry out its mission, because the entire region of Afrin was seized by the occupation authorities and the militias of the Muslim Brotherhood organization, and the purpose of forming the committee was to mere propaganda and beautify the image of occupation, in exchange for the reports of human rights and media organizations.
According to what was monitored by the afrinpost correspondent, armed men from the Sultan Murad militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, seize a field of 200 olive trees, owned by the Kurdish citizen “Abd al-Rahman Amin Muhammad” (from the people of the village of Jumkeh near the entrance to the city of Afrin, despite his presence in the region.
The reporter added that the militia also seized this year’s season from that field, and its yield reached about 150 sacks of olives, indicating that the Kurdish citizen filed a complaint against them with the “Rights and Grievances Restoration Committee” demanding his right, but the committee refused to decide the case.
In a second case, an armed group affiliated with the “al-Shamiya Front” militia, whose militants comes from the town of Hayyan, is still taking over the entire residential building that was supervised by a Kurdish contractor (his name is Abdo, from the people of the village of Ishkan of Jenderes district), knowing that the building is located in the vicinity of the Industrial area – Munir Building.
The correspondent emphasized that despite the apartment owners submitting complaints to the “civil police and military police” militia, as well as the so-called “restitution of rights and grievances” committee, no action has been taken to date.
The contractor, Abdo, had gone to the city of Aleppo to escape the threats he had received from the armed group led by Ahmed Hashem, who is within the ranks of al-Shamiya Front militia.
The cases that the committee has solved are just propaganda, and the most it has done is to organize fake rental contracts between Kurdish real estate owners and settlers or militants who actually seized them while they will not be obligated to pay the rent.
