The settlers who were brought to Afrin after announcing its occupation by the Turkish army and the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood, as being forcibly displaced and defeated, continue to trade in the property of the people of Afrin, the Kurds, by buying and selling.
A settler from al-Ghouta bought a house in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin, from another settler from the town of Mansoura in the western countryside of Aleppo, for $ 1,200, and the house belongs to the Kurdish citizen, Hassan Qanbar, from the village of Khlalka.
Another settler from Eastern Ghouta sold a house owned by the Kurdish citizen, “Khalil Ahmad,” a resident of Basuta village, for 800 US dollars. The house is known as the “burned building” among the people of Afrin, located near the Saleh al-Ali school in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.
