Afrinpost – Special
Today, Wednesday, dozens of displaced people from Afrin went out in a demonstration in front of the checkpoint of the “Fourth Division” of the regime army in Ahdath district in Shahba regions, to demand an end to the suffocating siege imposed four days ago on the area.
According to the Afrinpost correspondent in the region, more than a hundred demonstrators, men and women, approached a checkpoint of the regime army in the Al-Musilmiya area, and demanded the regime’s army to end the siege imposed on them.
The Syrian regime also prevents books and school supplies from entering the area, in addition to medicines, in addition to preventing the entry and exit of patients treated in Aleppo hospitals.
From time to time, the Syrian regime punishes tens of thousands of displaced people from Afrin region and the people of the region, by cutting off the roads connecting to the area and preventing the arrival of supplies coming to it, without being able to know the reasons for their resort to that.
The roads linking the areas of Shahba and Aleppo is the vital and the only way for supplying the area with basic needs, as it is completely cordoned off from the areas occupied by Turkey in the northern, western and eastern countryside of Aleppo.
The new wave of the siege threatens to worsen the conditions of the displaced in Afrin in the camps and towns of the region, especially in light of the onset of winter, the lack of fuel, and the spread of Corona disease in it.
