Afrinpost

The Human Rights Organization – Afrin, citing a local source from within the occupied Kurdish region, stated that armed men from the “Ahrar al-Sham” militia of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, on the twenty-third of this November, kidnapped seven Kurdish women, among them elderly women from Maidaniyat village (Kaziye village) in Rajo district, and women were accused of collaborating with the former Autonomous Administration.

Four women were known among the kidnapped, and they are: 1- Asya Muhammad Jaro, wife of Anwar Mahkilo (65 years old), 2- Halima Musa Joliye (60 years old), who was kidnapped after the Syrian armed militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation entered Afrin on charges of dealing with the previous administration and was beaten and tortured, the gunmen burned her scalp with acid water and pulled out her nails. She was later released in exchange for a large ransom.

In addition to 3- Mawloda Muhammad Jabo (65 years), wife of citizen Yusef Klo, and 4- Gule Nuri Rashid (40 years), who is the wife of Izzat Kumah, she was previously kidnapped after the occupation of Afrin and was severely beaten and tortured and released after paying a large ransom.

While it was not possible to know the names of the rest of the kidnapped, and no additional information was available about them, as they are still being kidnapped, and it is not known where they are being held.

It is noteworthy that the phenomenon of kidnapping and arresting women has become commonplace by the militants of the Muslim Brotherhood and includes all age groups, and the issue goes beyond the mere arrest, to assault and the commission of premeditated murder, such as:

1- Fatima Ibrahim Kanna (80 years), the village of Hekje / Shiye – was killed on 18/4/2020

2- Houria Muhammad Bakr (67 years old), village of Qatma / Sharan – was killed 6/9/2019
