The Turkish occupation intelligence continues the arrest campaigns of Kurdish citizens in the center of “Mobata / Maabatli” district and its villages in the countryside of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, especially workers in the town’s local council. As yesterday, it arrested other citizens.
The correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the district center reported that, on Wednesday, the fourteenth of October, two Kurdish citizens, who are two members of the local council in the center of “Mobata / Maabatli” district were kidnapped, and they are called (Farhad Ahmad and Zuzan Mesto) from the village of “Husseh / Merkan” of the district, and their fate is still unknown.
Yesterday noon, Wednesday, October 14, a patrol of the “Civil Police” militia arrested “Abdul Muttalib Sheikh Naasan,” who is president of the Occupation Council in the town of “Mobata / Maabatli”, in addition to two others, one of them called “Hassan Ishano” while the name of the other person was not known, after the end of the official working hours in the council.
The correspondent added that two days ago, the Turkish intelligence had confiscated the mobile phone of “Sheikh Naasan” while he was at his work place.
The Turkish occupation intelligence also arrested, on Sunday the twelfth of October, five Kurdish citizens in the district center of “Mobata / Maabatli”, and a patrol of Turkish intelligence also arrested, on the afternoon of Monday, the fifth of October, the citizen Muhammad Bilal son of Hassan, mayor of “Mobata / Maabatli”and charged with dealing with the Autonomous Administration.
It is noteworthy that the campaign of arrests that are being carried out successively in the “Mobata” district, affecting most of the workers in the local council of the occupation in the sub-district, began since the beginning of last September, and included more than twenty citizens. It is worth noting that all arrests related to members of local councils are carried out according to lists equipped by Turkish intelligence.
