Afrinpost – Special

For the second day in a row, the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia continues to dismantle doors and windows from residential buildings in Asharafiya neighborhood in the center of the occupied Afrin region, which the Turkish occupation army completely evacuated yesterday, Sunday.

According to Afrinpost sources, the Turkish occupation army handed over the al-Jabha al-Shamiya militia to loot it completely, while it is not known whether the buildings will return their owners or not. Pointing out that some residents of El Feel neighborhood, tried to approach the site, but the militia fired warning bursts of Dushka weapon in the air, so they don’t see what the militia is practicing from looting in those homes.

The correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the center of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, on Sunday morning 10/25/2020, monitored the departure of four military trucks belonging to the Turkish occupation army from a military base stationed in Al-Feel neighborhood, explaining that the trucks were loaded with military equipment, and left the military base headed towards the city of Jenderes and from there to the Hammam border crossing.

At the beginning of 2019, the Turkish forces had taken residential buildings as their main military base in the center of Afrin, after they expelled their residents from the city’s residents, and that the expulsion process was followed by a comprehensive looting campaign for the homes located in that residential block

The number of residential buildings on the site is about 30 residential buildings (four floors) in which the “Al-Takadum” school is in the middle. A military base took them after cutting the streets leading to them with dirt mounds and barbed wire, installing spotlights, and deploying snipers on the roofs of residential buildings.
