The center of Jenderes district in the countryside of Afrin, the occupied Kurdish region in northern Syria, today, Tuesday, witnessed clashes between the “Ahrar al-Sham” and “Jaish al-Sharqiya” militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, because of their disagreement over the division of areas of influence and the right to seize homes and shops, according to the “Afrinpost” correspondent in the district.
The clashes extended from Al-Sinaa Street to the ancient hill inside the city, without causing any casualties, and Ashkan Gharbi village of the sub-district witnessed similar clashes between two groups of the “Liwa al-Waqqas” militia, due to a dispute over sharing the stolen items from the olive season belonging to the villagers.
On the same side, Afrinpost learned from its sources that the “Liwa Samarkand” militia is forcing the people of Kafr Safra village to press their olive harvest in the press belonging to Abdul Rahman Murad, which the militia seizes in partnership with local figures from the village.
Clashes and armed confrontations have erupted repeatedly between the Brotherhood militias competing to share stolen goods from the livelihoods and property of the indigenous Kurds, since Afrin came under Turkish occupation in mid-March 2018.
