The Kurdish citizen Rizgar Jumaa (32 years old), from the village of Khirbet Shara, affiliated with Sharan sub-district, was kidnapped while he was in the city of Azaz at 4:30 in the morning on Friday October 9, 2020 in the city of Azaz.
The “Afrinpost” correspondent said that the young Rizgar was with his sick father, who took him to the hospital with a Hyundai car, and the images from the surveillance cameras show that the arrest was carried out by the so-called “Anti-terrorism Department” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, upon his return from The Blue Crescent Hospital, and the purpose of the arrest, as usual, is material extortion and the collection of ransom in exchange for his release, noting that he was previously kidnapped by the same militia in Afrin, and he was released after collecting the ransom.
It is noteworthy that the kidnappings of Kurdish citizens in the city of Azaz have been repeated several times in recent times, as the “Military Police” militia of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization arrested three Kurdish citizens in the occupied city of Azaz, while they were coming from Turkish territory towards the Kurdish region of Afrin. The citizens are: (Adnan Janji – Mustafa Sheikho – Bassam Qilij), from the village of “Marate / Marata” affiliated to the center of the occupied Afrin region. While the young man, “Bassam Qilij”, was released on the same day, the rest were kept in detention amid reports that the militia demanded a ransom of $ 2,000 for their release.
