Afrinpost – Special
On Friday, a group of Syrian mercenaries and members of the Muslim Brotherhood organization arrived from Libya to Afrin after the end of their contracts, while a new batch left the occupied Afrin region to the Turkish territories to go from there to Libya.
Afrinpost correspondent reported today that a number of gunmen from the Oso group affiliated with the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia, have returned from Libya after joining to fight alongside the Muslim Brotherhood Accord Government in Tripoli, adding that a number of mercenaries / hired killers have completed their preparations to travel to Libya, and left the city of Afrin at six o’clock this morning, from their headquarters near Al-Hal market.
According to the correspondent, their number reached 42 mercenaries, who belong to the “Oso” group, which is affiliated with the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia, and 15 mercenaries of the “Liwa Al-Shamal” militia, they headed to the city of Azaz and through it they will enter Turkish territory, to be transferred to Libya.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated on 7/9/2020 that about 450 Syrian mercenaries had returned from Libya after the end of their contracts.
The observatory said that a new batch of mercenaries loyal to Ankara have returned to Syria from the Libyan lands after the end of their contracts with the Turkish side to fight in Libya. They were transferred to Maitika International Airport in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and then to the Turkish city of Istanbul, to be sent to the areas occupied by Turkey in the countryside of Aleppo. In return, other mercenaries with new work contracts are preparing to be sent by Turkey to Libya.
The Syrian Observatory revealed that Turkey had transferred about 350 minors (less than 18 years of age) from Syria to Libya, to fight in the ranks of extremist militias. It explained that at least 34 of those minors were killed during the ongoing battles in Libya, and their bodies, along with about 500 other bodies, were returned to Syria via Turkey.
In another context, and in a surprising move, the head of the Muslim Brotherhood Accord Government, Faiz Al-Sarraj, announced his resignation from his post, and Erdogan expressed his annoyance at the resignation of Al-Sarraj, while Turkish media denied the resignation of Al-Sarraj, and quoted Erdogan that he will hold talks Regarding the resignation, what confirms Ankara’s control and the extent of its interference in the Libyan file and its insistence on the continued work by its tools.
