The occupation tools in dividing Syria are establishing the “Ertugrul Roundabout” in Afrin countryside

Afrinpost – Special

In an effort to perpetuate Turkification, and to further change the cultural and social environment in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood have established a new roundabout called “Ertugrul”.

As the correspondent of “Afrinpost” reported in the center of “Shara / Sharan” district, “Failaq al-Sham” militia celebrated the establishment of a roundabout called “Ertugrul Roundabout”, on the road leading from the town of “Maidanaki” to the village of “Naza”. In the form of a concrete triangular shape, written on it the name Ertugrul in both Turkish and Arabic.

The name itself was launched in the first Turkish campaigns in Afrin, where the name “Talal” was changed to “Ertugrul Street,” and on April 28, 2019, the “Suleiman Shah” militia (Amshat) graduated a battalion under the name “Cubs of Ertugrul”, in a ceremony attended by members of the so-called “Coalition of the Syrian opposition in Istanbul” and leaders of the so-called “Syrian National Army” militias.

The Turkish and Ottoman names began to be released after the occupation of the Kurdish region of Afrin, and the names of city squares, schools and streets have been changed in some villages and neighborhoods, and the Turkish occupation authorities and the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood are working to change the Kurdish social culture of Afrin by using demographic change.

And Erturul Bey is the father of Othman from the Kayi tribe, from the Oghuz Turks, and he is the son of Suleiman Shah, that hypothetical figure that is the subject of controversy and suspicion, whose existence has been denied by many historians and sober historical books.
