Afrinpost – Special
After the Turkish occupation authorities departed him from Turkey to the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, in implementation of the demographic change project, a young settler from Al-Ghouta committed suicide in Afrin.
The “Afrinpost” correspondent from Afrin stated that the settler “Aghiyad Snno,” who is from Ghouta in the Damascus countryside, committed suicide in a house in Afrin that he had previously settled in. The reporter indicated that the settler committed suicide by hanging, and pictures of him were circulated on social networking sites.
The reporter indicated that this settler was returned from Turkey to Afrin in implementation of the Turkish project to change the demography of Afrin, and it was likely that he committed suicide due to poverty, and media sources indicated that the settler had attempted suicide earlier with a knife, but his relatives prevented him.
The “Afrinpost” had previously published news in which it confirmed the Turkish authorities’ return of 50 settlers from Turkey to Afrin, as Turkey tries not to keep any Kurds in Afrin and tries to prevent the settlers from leaving Afrin under any circumstances .
