The Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization kidnapped a citizen from the village of “Kura” in Jenderes in the countryside of Afrin, the occupied Kurdish region in northern Syria, and took her to an unknown destination.
According to the correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the center of Jenderes district, the Muslim Brotherhood militia in the aforementioned village kidnapped the citizen “Oufa Seedo / 55 years old”, as she was kidnapped on her way to her daughter’s house in the Mahmudiyah neighborhood in Afrin.
Simultaneously, the “Military Police” militia arrested: “Rashid Khorshid / 32 / and Didar Khorshid / 34 / years” from the village of “Kura”, under the pretext of their dealing with the previous Autonomous Administration, on Thursday the tenth of this September, in addition to the theft of a private car, an amount of money and several mobile devices that were in the possession of the family members, and they are still unaccounted for until this moment.
Arrests and kidnappings continue in the occupied Kurdish region, and include all age groups, and are carried out arbitrarily according to ready-made charges. Last August witnessed an unprecedented record number of citizens who were arrested and kidnapped, reaching 118 people.
This number included citizens of all age groups, including the elderly, women and children, and Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a way to obtain money, which is one of the methods they have followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises those operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from coming back.
The nature of the fabricated charges, through which the Turkish occupation tries to justify the kidnapping of Afrin’s indigenous Kurdish population, is usually fabricated charges related to the supposed dealings with the “People’s Protection Units” or loyalty to the Autonomous Administration, with the aim and justification of continuing abuse and intimidation of the Kurds, to push them to leave the region and the continuation of his ethnic cleansing operations.
