“Al-Shamiya Front” militia imposes a royalty on villagers in exchange for allowing them to harvest the walnut season

Al-Shamiya Front militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization imposed a royalty on the Kurdish indigenous population in the village of Brimjah in the Mobata / Ma’batli district in the countryside of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria, in exchange for allowing them to harvest the nut season and other agricultural seasons, according to the Afrinpost correspondent in the district.

The reporter explained that the militia led by the so-called “Abu Turab” asked each Kurdish farmer in the village to pay 1,000 Turkish liras to allow them to harvest their seasons of walnuts, almonds and other crops.

On the sixth of this month, gunmen from the “Sultan Murad Squad” militia stole the walnut season in the plain of “Tal Tawil” and “Jumkeh” villages.

Militants from the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia also deliberately stole the walnut season for the citizens in the village of “Qujuma in the district of Jenderes, as well as in the village of Marateh of the central district, and along the road to the village of Burj Abdalo, where the armed men of the“ Al-Hamzah Squad ”militia “ stole seasonal walnuts the same way.
