A third COVID-19-related case of death recorded in Al-Shahba … out of 31 cases

The number of deaths related to Corona virus in Al-Shahba canton in northern Syria has reached 3, after it increased today with the death of a new person, according to the Health Authority of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The Corona virus began to spread in Al-Shahba canton about 10 days ago, and the number of people infected with Corona virus reached 31, including 3 deaths.

Al-Shahba canton is witnessing the imposition of a partial ban by the Crisis Cell in Afrin region, due to the spread of the virus in a number of villages and cities of the district.

In turn, the Health Authority in the “Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria” announced today, Saturday, two deaths of people with COVID-19, one in Qamishlo and the other in Al-Shahba.

Dr. Jwan Mustafa, the co-chair of the Health Authority in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, added that there are eleven new cases of COVID-19, distributed as follows: 6 cases in Al-Jazira, 3 cases in Kobani, 2 cases in Al Shahba.

Mustafa explained that the cases are eight males and three females, while Mustafa stated that there are seven new recoveries, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 17, while the number of active cases is 182 cases and ten deaths.
