Turkish court sentences a young man from Afrin to life imprisonment

Afrinpost – Special

The family of a young Kurdish detainee told “Afrinpost” that a Turkish court sentenced their son to life imprisonment, who had been arrested in the city of “Jenderes” in the occupied countryside of Afrin, and he was transferred into Turkish territory.

The source pointed out that the Turkish intelligence arrested the young man, Mannan Abdo Ibish / 19 years old, on 15/8/2019 from his house located in a neighborhood of the city of “ Jenderes” located in the vicinity of the archaeological hill, under the pretext that he had planted mines and drove him into Turkish territory.

The source added that they recently learned that the young man had been sentenced to life imprisonment, on charges of belonging to the military forces during the previous “autonomous-administration” period, and that he had planted mines, knowing that he was a minor at the time of his arrest.

From time to time, the occupation kidnaps Kurdish civilians, in order to framing fabricated charges for them, by accusing them of false accusations, and claiming that they are carrying out bombings in Afrin or fabricating other charges, in order to absolve the Muslim Brotherhood’s militias of the continuing kidnappings of the Kurds.
