Media websites loyal to the Syrian opposition, quoting what they called a military source from the 2nd squad militia affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood militia known as the “Syrian National Army / Free Army”, said that 4 brigades were splintered from the militia of the “Sultan Murad Squad”.
The source said that the four groups that were split are the militia “Squad 101, at the city of Al-Bab, headed by Hassan Abu Mera’i,“ the security office and its central power are led by the so-called Abu Al-Mot ”,“ Saraya Halab, the Afrin sector led by Abu Rahmo” and “ The Al-Hasaka squads, led by Abu Mua’wiyah. ”
The same source indicated that the most important cause of the defection that took place on Monday evening is the result of the policy of the militia commander of the “Sultan Murad Brigade” called “Fahim Issa”.
The source pointed out that the number of splinter groups from the “Sultan Murad” militia has become 10 squads, and includes approximately 3,000 militants, that is, more than half of the militia’s estimated total number of 6000 thousand.
Last May 6, 6 groups affiliated with the same militia announced their defection due to Fahim Issa’s request, including them to prepare lists of a number of militants to send them to fight in Libya.
According to the opposition media, the militia of the “Sultan Murad” began to complain about the policy of their leaders, because of sending their mercenary militants to fight in Libya.
It is noteworthy that about 15,000 armed men from the “Syrian National Army” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, are fighting in Libya alongside the Muslim Brotherhood’s “Al-Wefaq” government, after Ankara sent them there in exchange for material inducements, in order to restore the Ottoman Empire.
