Islamic militia take advantage of closed crossings between Idlib and Afrin to smuggle materials in exchange for bribes

Afrinpost – Special

The Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, north of Syria, stated that the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood are using instructions related to the closure of the roads between Afrin and Idlib due to the spread of the Corona virus, by allowing goods and materials to pass for bribes.

In this regard, the “Failaq Al-Sham” militia affiliated with the occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, allowed the passage of batches of firewood from the trees cut from the forests of Raju and smuggled them to the northern countryside of Idlib, through the Deir Balut – Atma crossing, for an amount of fifty thousand Syrian pounds per car.

The shipments included firewood (arbor, oak and olives), while the incident came in the context of a terrible escalation of theft, as firewood was originally stolen through unjust firewood, while the sums paid for smuggling are a second theft among the militants themselves.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation instructed to close the roads leading to the occupied region of Afrin on Thursday, the sixteenth of this July, as part of the isolation measures to contain the repercussions of an increase in the number of Coronavirus infections in the northern Idlib countryside.
