Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue the kidnappings against the remaining Kurdish indigenous people in the occupied Afrin region, practicing against them all forms of torture, in order to force them to pay a large financial ransom, in the context of the displacement plan supervised by the intelligence of the Turkish occupation.
In this regard, the “12th Brigade” militia, which is affiliated with the “Syrian National Army” militia yesterday, Monday, the sixth of April, kidnapped three Kurdish citizens from their homes in the town of “Ba’dina / Ba’denli” of Raju district, on charges of performing the duty of self-defense during the era of The previous self-administration, and took them to the Raju district center, according to the Afrinpost reporter at the Raju center.
The reporter documented the names of the three kidnapees, namely:(Mustafa Muhamad Ibish , Ahmed Aref Ibish and Muhammad Khalil Shaaban), likely to be handed over to the militia “Military Police” or the Public Prosecution of the Turkish occupation.
The Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood militants argue that the Kurdish youth in Afrin performed compulsory service as part of the duty of self-defense or advocacy for self-management, in order to kidnap the young men and receive financial ransoms in exchange for their release.
Accordingly, on March 10, the “Political Security” militia kidnapped the young man “Jwan Jamil Ibish” at its checkpoint located in the eastern entrance to the city of Afrin (Al-Qaws) on charges of performing the duty of self-defense, as the citizen Jwan 27 years old, who is from The people of the village of “Kafar Janneh”, located in Shara / Sharan district, eastern Afrin countryside.
On February 16, 2020, “Syrians for Truth and Justice” organization documented the kidnapping of the young man “Omar Waqqas / 22 years old” militia from the “Military Police” militia from his house near the Sharia park, on charges of performing a previous self-defense duty, and the young man was released after he paid $ 1,000, while the young man himself had been kidnapped previously, for the same reason and had paid another ransom.
In the district of Jenderes, on February 9, a patrol of the “Civil Police” militia arrested Ali Abdo I’sek, who works as a barber in the district, on charges of performing the duty of self-defense during the period of self-administration, and he was transferred to the Central Prison in Maarat.
The Islamic militias do not stop kidnapping the Kurdish indigenous people in Afrin, to push them towards leaving their lands to the settlers, and their displacement towards Shahba and Aleppo or east of the Euphrates.
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
