Afrinpost – Special
The occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, which was affiliated with the former self-administration in northern Syria, is witnessing an alert today, Wednesday, by Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood.
A private source told the “Afrinpost” correspondent that the Islamic militias are promoting that the Turkish occupation has sold them, and that they are preparing for any attack by the “Afrin Liberation Forces”.
The source living in Afrin told “Afrinpost” that the center of the region is witnessing an alert by the Islamic militias after receiving information that they will be sold by Ankara, adding that the Islamic militia gunmen say that “Turkey sold them and they are demarcating their borders, and they will prepare for any attack by (Afrin Liberation Forces) ”.
The source added that the militants are certain since the start of the military occupation two years ago, that Afrin will not remain in their hands, and that the Kurdish fighters and their partners within the Syrian Democratic Forces “will come to liberate Afrin”.
The source confirmed that he had seen seven armored vehicles roaming around Afrin, and that they had headed towards the Mahmudiyah neighborhood and the militias were on high alert.
It is not completely known what led the militias to conclude a possible sale process of them, who occupied Afrin under the cloak of the Turkey, but it comes in conjunction with an increasing Turkish deployment in Idlib, a build-up of the forces of the regime, and turmoil on the M4 road.
It also coincides with the circulation of dozens of video clips of the militants who were captured in Libya, and which confirmed the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood militants known as the “Syrian National Army”, they are only hired killers working to serve the Ottoman occupation agenda, and that the occupation of Afrin and areas of East Euphrates was only to fulfill Turkish ambitions in the Syrian territory, and to deny the Kurds their constitutional rights as an Syrian component.
