“Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia uprooted 70 olive trees from the lands of the “Ghubari family” to build shops

Afrinpost – Special

The Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood and their settler families continue to seize the properties of the indigenous people, by armed force and coercion, in the occupied Kurdish region in Afrin in north and east of Syria.

In this context, the militia of “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” uprooted 70 olive trees in a field located in the western entrance to the city of Afrin, to build a number of shops, a gas station and a car wash in its place.

The reporter confirmed that the militia had brought bulldozers into the field of the “Al-Ghubari” family to level the land after uprooting olive trees to build commercial stores and a fuel station.

The incident is only a complementing of the ongoing robberies and seizures that have taken place since the occupation of Afrin. Last Monday, the Afrinpost reporter in the Afrin center took pictures showing the so-called “economic office” of the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia numbering the shops in the city of Afrin for the purpose of imposing royalties on them.
