“Samarkand” militia searches for rented houses of Kurds in Afrin .. to seize them

Afrinpost – Special

The Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria said that the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to seize the properties of the indigenous people by armed force and coercion.

In the context, the reporter said that gunmen from the “Samarkand Brigade” militia toured yesterday, in the vicinity of Furn Al-Zarra in the Mahmudiyah neighborhood, in search of homes inhabited by the Kurds for rent or mortgage.

The correspondent added that the gunmen had warned Kurdish citizens to evacuate the houses in which they reside, including “Muhammad Bilal” from the village of “Cheh” and “Youssef Issa” from the people of “Joukeh”.

The reporter pointed out that the eviction warning was accompanied by physical assault due to the resistance of the two Kurdish citizens in the face of an attempt to seize the homes in which they reside (as some Afrin reside in the homes of relatives of them who have been abandoned from Afrin), which prompted the gunmen to beat them and threatened to evacuate the two houses with the aim of Rent it to people fleeing Idlib in exchange for money given to the militia leaders.

The Afrinpost reporter had indicated at the end of December 2019 that the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia was breaking the locks and opening the doors of houses in the villages of (Brimja-Qantari-Hsseh-Shitka) of the “Mobata / Ma’batli” district, despite the presence of their owners in the city of Afrin , Where they frequent it in order to serve their agricultural fields every period, as a result of the Islamic militias seeking to settle the fleeing families from Idlib countryside.

It is clear that the recent war of the regime and Russia is in line with the plans of the Turkish occupation, in order to push the people in Idlib to leave and go to settle in areas occupied by Turkey, such as Afrin, “Tel Abyad / Gre Spi” and “Ssreh Kanieh / Ras Al-Ain”.

What can happen in Idlib can be likened to the Turkish-Russian barter in which Afrin was abandoned by Russia, in exchange for Turkey giving up areas that were subject to its militias in the countryside of Damascus, Homs, Hama, and Idlib.

What is taking place is only a new way for the demographic change practiced by the Turkish occupation authorities, by forcing the population in Idlib to leave to fill what it considers its safe area, which seeks from it to be a dagger in the back of the self-administration areas east of the Euphrates, in order to eliminate the historical presence of the Kurds in the north Syria, and depriving the rest of the components of the rights that they acquired through “self-administration”.
