Afrinpost – Special
Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation continue trespassing the religious cemeteries and shrines in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, by digging and razing graves, without deterring from human values or religious laws.
In this context, a video recording was sent to Afrinpost, showing the feet of the militia of the “Failaq Al-Sham” militia of the Muslim Brotherhood exhuming and destroying the shrine of the martyr Sheikh “Mustafa Darwish” in the “Qara Baba” shrine located in the junction of the village of Qara Baba in the district Raju.
Sheikh Mustafa is one of the well-known Sheikhs of the Naqshbandi order in the occupied region. He comes from the village of “Sheikh” in the vicinity of the village of “Farfrkeh”, where his family left it from ancient times and only one family remained in the village.
Since the occupation of Afrin in the middle of March 2018, Islamic militia militants directed Turkish forces to destroy and dig out graves and religious shrines, as the region contains dozens of historical cemeteries and religious shrines that belong to different religions and sects, due to their extremist religious orientation as well as their belief in the presence of archaeological burials in those Cemeteries.
